Ford Field Charity Game for Ike Cancelled

Utica Eisenhower's football team was to play Aug. 31 at Ford Field for a charity game, but was cancelled according to a report.

A day of high school football games at Ford Field to benefit Forgotten Harvest, which was scheduled to include Eisenhower High School, has reportedly been cancelled.

Eisenhower was to be one of eight high school football teams that were scheduled to play Aug. 31 in the Forgotten Harvest Football Classic at Ford Field.

But according to an article in The Detroit Free Press, the game was cancelled due to "financial concerns."

According to the report, the game against Rockford will be rescheduled and may be played Aug. 29 or 30.
