Lions Sign Former Eisenhower Wide Receiver Lance Long

Former Eisenhower High School football star signs one-year contract with Detroit Lions.

The Lions signed former Eisenhower High School wide receiver Lance Long Tuesday, the Detroit News reported.

Long, who graduated from , signed a one-year contract with the Lions as a free agent, according to the Detroit Lions website.

The Macomb Township resident has spent the past few years on practice squads, including the 49ers, Jaguars, Chiefs and Cardinals, according to the Detroit News.

Long caught three touchdown passes for Eisenhower in the Eagles 24-21 loss to Detroit Catholic Central in the 2001 Division 1 state championship game.
