Utica Football Kicks Off Practice

Chieftains' high school football team looks to defend MAC White Division championship.

The began its first official day of practice on Monday at Swinehart Field.

The Chieftains went 7-3 overall in 2010 and won the MAC White Division championship.

Utica will hold the Black-Orange Game, an intrasquad scrimmage, on Saturday at Swinehart Field. Cost is $5 and all proceeds go toward Turning Point.

Utica begins the 2011 season on Aug. 25 at Sterling Heights.
