A group of fierce women took aim at a new challenge on Jan. 31 by learning how to safely handle and shoot a pistol.
Eleven woman, myself included, took an introductory pistol shooting class at the .
Instructors taught firearm safety, fundamentals of pistol shooting, ammunition basics and tips on purchasing a handgun.
The next step to becoming a certified Concealed Pistol License carrier is to sign up for a six-week safety class held at the Detroit Sportsmen's Congress.
