Schedule of Events for 1st Utica Riverwalk Festival

There will be a lot going on in downtown Utica for the first Riverwalk Festival. Don't miss out on any of the fun. Here's a schedule of events.

The stage is set for Utica's first Riverwalk Festival in downtown Utica July 6-8. 

The festival is the brainchild of Utica's Downtown Development, which is made up of area business owners.

DDA members said the summber bash will celebrate the Riverwalk and downtown businesses.

Attendees are in for a big treat as the inaugural festival will include two days of spectacular fireworks, a carnival, a classic car cruise, a piggy race fundraiser, live music and a parade.

Thursday, July 5                          

  • Carnival 4 p.m. - midnight

Friday, July 6                                   

  • Carnival 4 p.m. – midnight
  • Star War Characters – Library 1-3 p.m.
  • Street Closure 6 p.m.
  • Bands on stage 8-9:45 p.m and again from 10:15 p.m. - midnight
  • Fireworks at dusk

Saturday, July 7

  • Carnival noon to midnight
  • Classic Car Cruise 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (Music provided by Jamming Jerry) Cars will assemble at the American Legion 10 a.m.
  • Bike Decorating - 10 a.m. For kids 9 and under in the Municipal Parking Lot. Decorated bikes will parade after. Bring bikes, big wheels, helments. 
  • Parade starts at 11:15 a.m.
  • Car cruise awards at 3:45 p.m.
  • Rubber Piggy Race 4:30 p.m. Click here to purchase rubber piggies.
  • Bands on stage 8 p.m.-9:45 p.m and 10:15-midnight
  • Fireworks at dusk
  • Street opens at 2 a.m. Sunday

Sunday, July 8                                   

  • Carnival 1 p.m.–8 p.m.
  • Easy listening music in River Park 1-3 p.m.

It's a rubber toy that participants race on the river. Think rubber duckie!
