Local CrossFit Upstart Voted Top Three Gym in Metro Detroit

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich – Switch CrossFit www.switchcrossfit.com, a gym opened just four months ago by Iraqi war veteran Matt Krakowski, was voted as one of the top three gyms in Metro Detroit by local channel 4 affiliate website Click On Detroit. 

After being open for just four months, Switch CrossFit, a fitness facility in Clinton Township, was voted the third best gym in the Detroit area on the annual “Vote 4 the Best” survey conducted by Channel 4 web affiliate Click On Detroit.  “Vote 4 the Best” allows Metro Detroiters to vote on their favorite places across a number of categories.  

Of the top three winners in the “Gym” category, two were CrossFit facilities. “It is quite a surprise and an honor that we would be recognized like this in such a short period of time.  This isn’t just an acknowledgement of Switch CrossFit, but CrossFit as a whole to be able to win both 2nd and 3rd place while having substantially fewer members than typical gyms”.  Matt believes that small class sizes and high intensity programming, which has been proven to drive more efficient fitness results than traditional programming, leads to a loyal and committed gym environment.

While happy with the result, Matt is already making improvements. “We just built a child’s play area so that parents can work out without leaving their children.  We also conduct bi-annual surveys and have increased our available class times and will soon be adding a weightlifting-focused program and yoga as a result of our member feedback.  Switch CrossFit is unlike any other gym experience you will have as the small number of members allows each person to have a real voice to enact change and improvement.”
