Beacon Tree Elementary students dress up their 100 day celebration - literally!

What does it mean to get to 100?

Beacon Tree students in kindergarten and first grade showed all kinds of ways. Some students dressed up looking like they are 100 years old, some glued 100 rhinestones on their shorts, and some brought in 100 sunflower seeds.

The 100th day of school for the 2013-2014 school year was February 26.

The day was filled with activities where students demonstrated their knowledge of constructing and deconstructing numbers, deductive reasoning based on clues, and many more activities to understand the meaning of 100.
