Two Eisenhower students named among state's best for musical theatre

Students will compete this weekend for right to enter National High School Musical Theatre Awards

Two Eisenhower seniors have placed among the top 30 Michigan student performers in musical theatre.             

Seniors Connor Allston and Katie Raimondo will compete this weekend in the second annual Ovation awards for the right to enter the National High School Musical Theatre Awards.

The Ovation Awards allows the best high school talent in Michigan to perform Broadway tunes and dances. Judges will select the top male and female performer to compete in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York City this June.           

The second annual Ovation Awards program is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 at the Wharton Center for Perfoming Arts in East Lansing.
