Burr students enjoy summer learning by the book

Burr Elementary students are starting their summer learning by the book.

Students in kindergarten through sixth grade took a field trip to the Sterling Heights library recently to kick off the second annual five week summer learning program.

Students met the librarians, checked out books, read books with their friends and teachers and learned how much fun it is to visit a library.

The focus of the Burr summer program this year is math and reading.
