Henry Ford II Marching Band loves a (Thanksgiving Day) parade

The Henry Ford II band will help America march into the holiday season by taking part in the annual Detroit Thanksgiving Parade.

The 110-member band will join other area bands, organizations and professional floats by taking part in America's Thanksgiving Parade in downtown Detroit.

The band will perform holiday music and a sample from this year's "Life's A Beach" halftime show- Soak Up the Sun.

The parade begins at Woodward and Kirby and ends just south of Campus Martius. The parade is aired live over Channel 4.

The marching band, under the direction of Matthew Schoenherr, has performed in the annual parade every other year since 2001.

In addition to performing, the band will also be donating blankets they are using to keep warm at the staging area. Schoenherr has made arrangements for a homeless shelter to collect the blankets used by the band.
