Henry Ford II students named finalists in national photography contest

Two Henry Ford II students have been named finalists in a prestigious national photography competition for college and high school students.

Megan Baniak and Rachel Szorik, Advanced Placement photography students, are being honored by Photographer's Forum Magazine's 34th annual College and High School photography contest, co-sponsored by Nikon.

Baniak and Szorik created the work is part of an informal portraiture assignment. Their teacher is Visual Technology Instructor Joe Elliott.

More than 16,000 images were submitted as part of the annual competition, with award winners being named later this month. All photos will be published in the hard cover annual publication by Photographer Forum Magazine, "Best of College and High School Photography 2014."
