Shelby Township Man is 'Secret Santa' for Miracle League of Michigan

It may be the offseason for the Miracle League of Michigan, but a Shelby Township man committed to making the holidays special for children anyway.

Mark Waad, 28, of Shelby Township, funded the group's first-ever holiday bash in Royal Oak on Sunday, according to a report on WJBK.

In the summer, the group of children with disabilities and their families meets to play baseball. This weekend, the kids enjoyed enjoyed face painting, crafts, cookie decorating and a festive holiday party just for them.

"When I walked in here today I [saw] all of these beautiful kids. I'm speechless," said Waad, who donated $10,000 to support the cause. "These are all God's children -- and God's gifts."
