Haircuts to Support Families Affected by Autism and More

1. An Autism Cut-a-Thon

When: Sunday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m.
Where: Luxeva Salon (52045 Van Dyke Ave., Shelby Township)
What: Luxeva Salon's professional, courteous & highly skilled stylists will be offering discounted services in support of Play-Place for Autistic Children's mission to build a joyously inviting, socially engaging, environmentally safe, therapeutic, educational, special needs sensitive and care-giver supportive haven of hope for families affected by autism. Cut-a-Thon highlights will include food, refreshments, massages, vendors, 50-50 raffle, pictures with Paulie (PAC's mascot), kids activities and more.

2. Utica/Shelby Township American Legion Post 351 Steak Out

When: Saturday, Sept. 21, 5:30 p.m.
Where: Utica/Shelby Township American Legion Post 351 (46146 Cass Ave., Utica)
What: Enjoy steak, baked potatoes, corn, salad, dessert, pop, and beer for a good cause.

3. Ladies Bible Study

When: Saturday, Sept. 21, 9:30 a.m.
Where: New Hope Christian Church (52226 Van Dyke Ave., Shelby Township)
What: Join the Ladies of New Hope Christian Church as they do Beth Moore's study of the Book of Daniel. The class book costs $15.
