Last Day of the Shelby Township Farmers Market for 2013

Harvest Festival at the Shelby Farmers Market

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m.
  • Where: Historic Packard Proving Grounds (49965 Van Dyke Ave., Shelby Township)
  • What: This is the last day of the 2013 farmers market season, so it's a great time to stock up on all your favorite products to help you hang on for the next six months. All regular vendors will be present with super end-of-the-season deals and clearance items, so this will be a local shopping opportunity that you won't want to miss. Face painting for the kids, plus several kid craft projects and activities for all ages.

Holiday Quilt & Craft Show

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m.
  • Where: New Apostolic Church (8891 Messmore, Shelby Township)
  • What: This is free to the public. You'll find quilts, Christmas stockings, raffles, cards, white elephants, aprons, pillowcases, flannel pants, tote bags, bibs, crafts, and much more. All proceeds will be donated to charities for U.S. veterans. Cash only please.

Halloween Hustle 5K & 10K Run/Walk

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m.
  • Where: Stony Creek Metropark - Eastwood Beach (4300 Main Park Rd., Shelby Township)
  • What: Courses include a 5K on the park road and paved bike path, as well as a 10K mostly on paved bike path, short distance on packed dirt.
