Annual Jingle Bell Run Expected to Attract More than 500 Racers to Shelby Sunday
Racers flock to Shelby Township Sunday to participate in 3rd Annual Jingle Bell Run.
Organizers of the Annual Jingle Bell 5k Run/Walk through Shelby Township are expecting record turnout for the 3rd annual charity race Sunday. The race will start and end behind the Shelby Township Community Center, located at 51690 Van Dyke, and wind through Cherry Creek Golf Course and Mae Stecker Park. The start time is 9 a.m., with registration begining at 7 a.m. Race organizer Michael Ward said more than 400 people have already signed up online for the race, and they are expecting another 100-150 to show up on race day. The cost is $20 per person prior to 12/16/2012, and $25 the day of the event. Each runner and walker will receive a T-shirt.
