Hit and Run Driver Arrested

A man accused of hitting a vehicle on Hall Road while driving drunk was arrested.

A 50-year-old Armada man was arrested on Nov. 25 after the Utica police said he hit a vehicle on Hall Road while driving drunk and on a suspended license. Police said the man drove his Ford Ranger into a vehicle on Hall Road and continued to Best Buy in Utica. When he exited the vehicle, several witnesses, including the victim, confronted the man in the parking lot. According to the police report, he denied the crash and continued on into the store to shop. Police were called, but by the time they arrived, the man had already exited the store and drove away, according to a police report.  The man was tracked down at a home in Washington Township after police ran his license plate and reviewed a photo of him on the Best Buy Surveillance …

The reason they can't charge him with Dui is because he was home by time police arrived and his defense could be he started drinking upon return home   more ›
