The Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department is hosting numerous free family fun nights throughout the summer, starting with a Movie Under the Stars on Tuesday, June 28.
The drive-in movie is a distant memory for many of us, but for one night next week, that memory will be alive and well in Macomb Township. When we were kids, it was weekend routine to grab some friends, jump in the family station wagon and drive to the drive-in movie theater. There, we would sit on the hood of the car and watch a movie outside under the stars. Now our kids can have that same experience at Macomb Township's Park-It Family Fun Night on June 28. Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee is creating a buzz around Shelby and making a name for itself as the place to go for great food, music and a trip to another world.
When you walk into Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee, you are immediately transported to a time when life was simple. Over the speakers, Judy Garland sings, "Hallelujah." The atmosphere? Walls adorned with photos of old Hollywood movie stars, with the cafe's namesake, Audrey Hepburn, watching over all who enter the cafe. At the center of it all is a little known delight called a crepe.
