Grammy Nominee From Band fun Calls Which Metro Detroit City Home?

Andrew Dost is one-third (Nate Ruess and Jack Antonoff are the others) of the band fun.— the indie pop act that topped the 2013 Grammy Awards nominations list last week with six: Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Choral Performance. In April, Dost told Real Detroit Weekly he lives in Royal Oak and hangs out at Lost and Found Vintage, UHF and Leo's Coney Island. "I love Royal Oak. It's one of my favorite cities. Drive-In Theater Opens in Macomb for One-Night Show

The Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department is hosting numerous free family fun nights throughout the summer, starting with a Movie Under the Stars on Tuesday, June 28.

The drive-in movie is a distant memory for many of us, but for one night next week, that memory will be alive and well in Macomb Township. When we were kids, it was weekend routine to grab some friends, jump in the family station wagon and drive to the drive-in movie theater. There, we would sit on the hood of the car and watch a movie outside under the stars. Now our kids can have that same experience at Macomb Township's Park-It Family Fun Night on June 28.  Only this event is more than just watching a movie. Newly Opened Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee is More Than Your Average Cafe

Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee is creating a buzz around Shelby and making a name for itself as the place to go for great food, music and a trip to another world.

When you walk into Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee, you are immediately transported to a time when life was simple. Over the speakers, Judy Garland sings, "Hallelujah." The atmosphere? Walls adorned with photos of old Hollywood movie stars, with the cafe's namesake, Audrey Hepburn, watching over all who enter the cafe. At the center of it all is a little known delight called a crepe. The story of how this wonderful café at the corner of 24 Mile and Van Dyke roads came into existence is just as remarkable as the crepes it serves.  The beginning Deanna Birg began dancing ballet when she was in first grade, entertaining friends and family at church and other events.
