Trinity Lutheran Church has partnered with the North East Haiti Lutheran Mission Society for a mission trip to Haiti from March 17-25.
While others head to St. Patrick's Day's celebrations across town, a group of 25 from Trinity Lutheran Church in Utica will embark on an eight-day mission trip to Haiti. Partnering with the North East Haiti Lutheran Mission (NEHLM) Society, the Trinity group will join fellow volunteers and health professionals to provide free medical and dental clinics to approximately 1,000 to 1,200 Haitians, March 17-25. The trip is …

Last year, Matt Sullivan, 44, chairperson of the church's missions committee, began to organize. The goal was to build a water tower and treatment system at an orphanage about 70 miles from Port au Prince. Church members quickly raised $12,…

all these missionary efforts accomplish, especially to Haiti, is to once again empower people who won't take the initiative to care for themselves and have learned to depend on handouts. After the devastating Haiti quake how many of the locals sat by while the rest of the world came in to dig them out, feed them and help rebuild. I agree with others that if you are going to spend efforts to help …   more ›
