72-year-old Macomb Township Man Hit, Killed on 24 Mile Road
Tomislav Anakiev was walking in the center of 24 Mile Road, east of Hayes Road, around 11:17 p.m. Monday when he was hit and killed, according to the sheriff's office.
A 72-year-old Macomb Township man was hit and killed by a car Monday night as he was walking in the center of 24 Mile Road, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said a preliminary investigation has revealed that Anakiev was walking in the center of 24 Mile Road, east of Hayes Road, around 11:17 p.m. last night when he was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound on 24 Mile Road. Anakiev was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 62-year-old Utica man, was questioned and released at the scene. Wickersham said that alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
