Henry Ford Macomb Doctors Take to the Air for Heart Month

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital doctors are featured in video vignettes running on WDIV-TV.

February is Healthy Heart Month and doctors from Henry Ford Macomb Hospital are taking their health messages to the local airwaves. Eight, 30-second video vignettes featuring doctors from the Henry Ford Health System are running throughout February on WDIV-TV Channel 4. Two of the eight spots feature doctors from the Hall Road hospital. Henry Ford also operates a health center in Shelby Township on Schoenherr. Dr. Lalitha Rudraiah uses her video to encourage women who are concerned about their heart health to partner with a doctor who will listen to them and order the right tests, should they be necessary. Beaumont, Henry Ford Announce $6.4 Billion Partnership

Beaumont Health System and Henry Ford Health System sign letter of intent to combine operations.

Beaumont Health System and Henry Ford Health System announced Wednesday that they are taking the first steps toward entering a multi-billion dollar partnership. While the hopsitals will combine operations after a 120-day period of negotiations and due diligence, the two systems will retain their respective brand names and separate identities, officials said. Today's announcement at Beaumont Hospital's Royal Oak campus, is the result of Beaumont's board of directors developing a strategic plan over the past 20 months to transform its system from providing procedures to promoting health and wellness among the population. As a smoker all I will say is that they are coming after those who are overweight next...you can see the beginnings of it with things such a the ban on large sodas & governing what type of oil restaurants can use in their fryers. Same arguments will be used as they use on smoking,so hold on to your french fries!   more ›
