Sale of 4,000th Car Puts Salesman in Ford Dealership Hall of Fame
Dan Saunders earns milestone at Rochester Hills dealership.
The recent sale of a black Ford Fusion has propelled a local car salesman into a coveted Hall of Fame. It was the 4,000th sale for Dan Saunders, a Shelby Township resident who has worked 20 years for Huntington Ford in Rochester Hills. That means Saunders has sold about four cars a week, every week, for the past two decades. To commemorate the achievement, dealership owner Pat Scoggin and general manager Brad Schiller presented Saunders with a personalized wooden "Hall of Fame" bat. The bat symbolizes just how elite the sales status really is: only two Major League Baseball players have attained 4,000 career hits. Saunders, 54, has been selling cars for 30 years total.
