Local Restaurateurs Open 1st of 20 Michigan-Planned Jersey Mike's Sub Shops in Shelby
Jersey MIke's East Coast sub shop to hit the mitten state hard with Shelby Township grand opening.
These days, you can't go too far without hearing about the Jersey Shore ever since the MTV Smash hit, the Jersey Shores debuted in 2009. Now, it just got a little closer to home. Jersey Mike's Sub Shop will open its second location in Michigan on Sept. 5 in Shelby Township. The sub shop is located at 12161 23 Mile Rd, in the plaza in front of WalMart, where Patty Cakes Bakery was for less than a year. Although there are more than 750 Jersey Mike's franchises open and under development nationwide, three local restaurateurs are bringing the more than 50-year-old business to Michigan in a big way.
