Mystery Book Club Explores A Different Sherlock Holmes
Shelby Township Library's Mystery Book Club meets once a month.
On the second Saturday of every month, members of the Shelby Township Library’s Mystery Book Club gather to discuss their latest selection. In existence for three years, the club is the newest of the library’s three book clubs. The Afternoon and Evening Book Clubs have been around for 25 and nine years, respectively. Mystery Book Club member Renee Church – an avid mystery fan -- works with librarian Sue Ferrell to select a variety of titles and authors. Then, Ferrell said, it’s up to the group to decide which ones they’d like to read in the coming months. Church said she likes to choose one true-life crime novel, a classic novel, and what she describes as one “guy book” with plenty of action. Ferrell then makes sure there is an …
