Macomb County Community Services Agency is seeking volunteer drivers to deliver meals to homebound senior citizens on Easter. Routes are available in all communities in the county. Volunteers are asked to deliver a route of approximately 10 to 12 meals on March 31. Volunteers must register to deliver meals by March 1, according to the county. Here is a suggestion. How about round up people that are receiving free government assistance, unemployment, welfare, ADC, etc, that are capable. Have them do volunteer work for Meals on Wheels, as well as other similar programs. Give them a chance to earn what they get, rather than taking it to the Casino!   more ›
