From Fairs To A Huge Yard Sale: There's Lots To Do In And Around Shelby-Utica This Weekend

There’s no reason to sit at home this weekend. There are events scheduled today and tomorrow in and near Shelby Township and Utica. There’s a community yard sale, the Old Mill Arts and Crafts fair, and Sterlingfest. Here’s what you need to know:

Old Mill Arts and Crafts Festival - Today from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Top artists and crafters from around the state will showcase their wares  in Utica’s Grant Park (located off Van Dyke, north of M-59) this weekend during the city’s annual Old Mill Arts and Crafts Festival. Parking is available in the lots on the north and south side of the park, on the basketball courts, and in the street. Admission and parking are free.  Expect to find a variety of booths from metal crafters and jewelry makers to dried flower art and wood pieces such as chairs and tables. Arts And Crafts Headline This Weekend’s Fest In Utica

Utica hosts Old Mill Arts and Crafts Festival this weekend. Proceeds benefit park improvements for parents and kids.

Top artists and crafters from around the state will showcase their wares in Utica’s Grant Park this weekend during the city’s annual Old Mill Arts and Crafts Festival. The event takes place Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Parking is available in the lots on the north and south side of the park, on the basketball courts, and in the street. Admission and parking are free.  Expect to find a variety of booths from metal crafters and jewelry makers to dried flower art and wood pieces such as chairs and tables. Utica is Looking for Talented Local Artists

Utica is accepting artist applications for the annual summer art festival.

Calling all crafters and artists:  The City of Utica is now accepting applications for the annual Old Mill Arts & Crafts Festival on July 28 and 29. The annual festival takes over Grant Park every summer.  The park is equipped with several areas of play so the youngsters have something to keep them entertained, plenty of resting areas so the family can sit and have a hot dog, soft drink, kettle corn, or just take in the fresh air.  This year, the festival will also have the Giant Pinball Machine to entertain all ages.
