The Shelby Township Firefighters are looking to raise some serious cash for young burn victims through the annual Red Hot dance Feb. 18.
Looking for a place to celebrate Valentine’s Day while raising money for a good cause? The 22nd Annual Red Hot Night, hosted by Shelby Township Fire Fighters Local 1338, will be Feb. 18 at the Cherry Creek Golf Club. Guests will dance the night away after enjoying a four-course meal, drinks from the premium bar and maybe even winning some door prizes or raffle items. All proceeds from the night will be donated to The Great Lakes Burn Camp. Held twice yearly, the weeklong camp is a special place where burn survivors ages 6-17 can heal and grow together. Love was in the air last Saturday at the Cherry Creek Golf Club as couples came out in support of the Shelby Fire Department at the annual Red Hot Night charity event. Celebrating its 21st year, the valentine-themed dinner and dance brought together the community for a night of love and support for a cause close to the firefighters’ hearts: the Great Lakes Burn Camp.
