A 39-year-old Shelby Township woman accused of stealing a Coach Purse from Plato's Closet in Utica faces third-degree retail theft charges. According to the police report, the woman, whose name is not being released pending formal arraignment, stole the Coach purse and $50 worth of jewelery from the store on Nov. 15. Upon reviewing surveillance video of the theft, police identified the woman and called her at home. A man who police believe has been spotted in several communities exposing himself by wearing only a shirt and sheer, blue pantyhose was seen at two businesses in Utica.
The same man who has been spotted in several communities in the past few weeks wearing only a shirt and pantyhose with nothing underneath is believed to have entered two Utica businesses Monday evening, according to Utica police. Police say the man entered Plato’s Closet and Justice For Girls, both located in a shopping plaza near Hall and Schoenherr roads, around 8:15 p.m. Monday evening. The man was captured on Plato's Closet surveillance video browsing racks. He was wearing a baseball cap, a white button down shirt and sheer blue pantyhose. I suspect the video is probably ok. If I'm not mistaken, filming a TV monitor is difficult because the camera sees the the sweeping image function of the TV tube. It's like filming a moving vehicle with spoke wheels.....the wheels appear to be rolling in reverse. They should send the video to CSI....they use facial recognition software and match it to the guys license and have him behind bars …   more ›
