Own Nitsches Meats & Deli, with husband Ken, in ShelbyTwp for almost 25 years. Formerly worked for the state of Mich as an assistance payments worker and supervisor. Have 2 adult children, married, who work with us in the store., and two granddaughters ages 5 and 7. 

Started married life not knowing how to cook and with no desire to cook. But husbands and kids need feeding so I learned the basics. Over the years have learned to love cooking and experimenting with recipes. 

Working in a meat store one is frequently asked how to cook various cuts of meat, or asked for ideas, so giving advice almost daily is part of the job. Plus, it gives me access to various meats I can try in recipes to see if it REALLY is good. Recipes come from numerous sources, friends, relatives, grandparents, customers, and of course the Internet. But not all turn out as good as they sound. So I will only recommend recipes I have tried successfully.

Additionally I will give cooking and grilling tips gleaned from years of experience, both good and bad. I'll share what I've  learned from my mistakes, and from my successes.
