Shelby Begins Holiday Season With Tree Lighting And Fun

Santa, caroling, more holiday cheer delight hundreds at annual event.

Santa and Mrs. Claus helped ring in the holiday season Thursday night during the Shelby Township’s Christmas Aglow tree lighting event. Hundreds gathered at the municipal grounds to see Kris Kringle, and the township’s tree set to lights.

There was also lots of other fun activities including: crafts, caroling, marshmallow roasts, free snacks and coffee, and horse drawn carriage rides. Many lined up throughout the parking lot to see Santa and Mrs. Claus, who were welcoming visitors inside Hope Chapel.
